Sen. Christopher Dodd has been a pro-choice champion, making sure that women - and not politicians - have the freedom and privacy to make personal decisions about reproductive health.
He’s stood by the women of Connecticut for three decades.
When the debate over health reform started in the Senate last year, Sen. Dodd led a key committee in defeating repeated attempts by anti-choice senators to politicize health-care reform legislation with divisive amendments.
But with pro-choice senators like Sen. Dodd outnumbered by anti-choice senators, the Senate’s health-reform bill now includes dangerous and unacceptable restrictions on abortion coverage.
We need Sen. Dodd’s help to fix the bill, and not let women lose ground.
Send him a message that we support his commitment to women’s reproductive health and privacy.
Abortion will be one of the last issues to get resolved as the House and Senate work out the differences between their bills, and Sen. Dodd’s voice is critical in the final negotiations.
