US Senate – Richard Blumenthal. This one is easy. There’s no contest.
For starters, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal (Row B) has a 19 year record of standing up for consumers, protecting our environment, and much more. Never has he needed to resort to theatrics or “steel-toed” shoes to go up against big industries such as the tobacco, power companies and the ever-powerful insurance indsutries on behalf of Connecticut citizens. Moreover, he is someone that is respected by all parties and not just Democrats. With washington in the deadlock that it is currently in, we need someone like Richard Blumenthal ready to and able to stand up for what is right.
In the words of the Stamford Advocate, “Mr. Blumenthal has done battle on behalf of the people of this state against some of the most powerful entities there are… But honest businesspeople have not had anything to fear from him. If anything, he’s helped many survive by going after the cheaters.”
Linda McMahon is an embarrassment to Connecticut citizens. Her new found wealth is derived from exploitation of women, promotion of violence and drug usage. Her company’s stain of 17 wrestlers (three this year!) having died and all with a history of drug abuse should be a warning to every person entering the voting booth this morning. We need not look any further than our Attorney General Richard Blumenthal for the leadership, integrity and sound judgment to continue to steer this state forward.
